Lisa Riley, a former Emmerdale and Fat Friends star is currently enjoying the best of her life, having lost more than 4 pounds of weight after opting for a healthier lifestyle. In her book, “Honesty Diet” published in “The Mirror”, Lisa revealed that the pain she underwent after the death of her mother was immense to plan for a normal future.
Lisa lost her mother in 2012 and grandparents to cancer and the hope for a better future faded each day that went by. She explained that she didn’t want to leave that agony and scar in the life of her children since she has personally felt it all. Being a godmother to the so many friend’s children seemed enough until when she changed her mind about her life.
At the age of 41, Lisa dreams of having her own children, technically through IVF regardless of the millions of pounds that many patients spend on the treatment. She explained that the idea of having children suddenly popped up before undergoing a skin removal surgery.
She wondered as to why she would ever think of such a thing having lived 30 years without thoughts of that kind. She explains that the first question she asked the surgeon is as to whether she would be able to have children, will the womb function normally in the pregnancy condition?
Though she carries a cancer gene, she has made up her mind to live her life to the fullest by eliminating all death fears. Lisa isn’t the first celebrity to openly confirm her IVF plans. Many others, such as Chrissy Teigen and husband Legend have publicly confirmed their pregnancies through IVF after years of struggling with infertility.
For Chrissy Teigen and John Legend, they had an opportunity to choose the sex of their baby before embryo transfer. It worked out and they are now happy parents.
Giuliana Rancic and husband Bill Rancic have their own infertility story. Giuliana had previously undergone three IVF treatment cycles in which she suffered one miscarriage. Later on, she was diagnosed with breast cancer and she wasn’t eligible for IVF treatments anymore due to the cancer treatment. Gestational surrogacy was the final decision for the couple and in 2012, they welcomed their first son.
Popular songstress Celine Dion has another version of a tough IVF treatment course. Celine and her late husband René Angélil had to undergo multiple IVF treatment cycles before having their first boy child in 2001. In 2010, she became pregnant again with triplets, but one fetus died giving her only twins (boys).
Similarly, a long list continues with our own celebrities such as Aamir Khan and Kiran Rao, Shah Rukh Khan and Gauri Khan, Farah Khan and Shirish Kunder among others
There are also various couples who have attained children through IVF treatment cycles. Various infertility cases such as endometriosis, unexplained infertility, sperm morphology, sperm motility issues, and Blocked Fallopian Tubes pose a major hindrance to starting a family.
Infertility specialists prioritize the mother and baby’s health to bring forth a healthy baby via IVF treatments.
