What is IUI?
IUI is known as Intrauterine insemination which is a type of infertility treatment. It involves placing sperm inside the women uterus and this starts the process of fertilization. The main goal of IUI treatment is to increase the number of sperm count. So that more sperm will reach the Fallopian tube and this will increase the chance of fertilization. The main purpose of using this method is to increase sperm count or sperm mobility. There are some reasons for infertility for which IUI can be selected.

What Is The Procedure Of IUI?
Before starting the IUI treatment, medication may be given to the patient for ovulation-stimulating. In this, it will be taken care that when the eggs will get mature and the doctor will monitor the progress very carefully. Afterward, the IUI procedure is performed at the time of ovulation. This takes about 24 to 36 hours after the LH hormones are overflowed and this indicates ovulation will happen soon.
In the lab, the semen sample will be taken. And then the specialists will separate the semen from the seminal fluid. Then sperm will be inserted into the uterus with a catheter. After this, the sperm count is maximized that are placed in the uterus. This is useful for increasing the chances of conception.
The whole process takes a few minutes and you will feel a little discomfort.
There are very fewer chances of infection during the IUI.
